PRESS RELEASE

ANIMA MUNDI FESTIVAL - VISIONS 2019 ITSLIQUID International Art Festival in Venice, ItalyPalazzo Ca’ Zanardi | Oct 04 - Nov 24, 2019

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with Venice Events such as the 2019 Venice Biennale 58th, is proud to share the immense success of VISIONS,  The festival focuses on the concept of ANIMA MUNDI, that according to several historical cultures, religions and philosophical systems, is an intrinsic connection among all living entities on the planet

.

In Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi the opening started with the talk of the artist Vincent Robbins, who describes his works as experimental: he wants to experience more than just making a drawing on paper, he wants to be in the drawing. So, he is always exploring, through science and through common everyday situations with the space time textures, to show a relationship of hand gestures and the written word with typographical configurations shown in fine art prints. His purpose is to convey through performances, paintings and prints, works that remind viewers about the mysteries of common everyday experiences.

In addition to the works over the years of Robbins' career that were screened as he spoke, such as those referred to above, others in Museum collections and his 32 foot painting Tie, he also exhibited nine pieces in the Festival. Many had originated during his Artist in Residency with the notable Emily Harvey Foundation in Venice, many years ago. While there he experimented with old artisan Venetian stucco over photos of architectural and decorative works in stone of Venice. Those artworks are multi-media, a combination of painting, photography, printing and Venetian stucco related to various daytime conditions in the atmosphere.
